Case study
Building the platform behind this website

The site you're reading is itself the case study: a public website, a content system behind it, and the foundations of a full client-lifecycle platform, built in deliberately sequenced phases rather than one long build with nothing to show until the end.

The brief, to ourselves
Rahnix needed a public website — but one built on real foundations, not a page builder we'd have to throw away the moment we wanted a client portal or a quoting flow. The platform had to be able to grow into CRM, proposals, project delivery and billing without a rewrite, while shipping something real at every phase.
What we built first
A modular monolith on Next.js, with strict boundaries between domains enforced by the build itself, not just a convention in a document.
A first-party content system — pages, services, case studies and insights, each with draft and published versions — behind an admin interface with real role-based permissions.
Cloud infrastructure on AWS that scales its database to near-zero cost outside business hours, with an equivalent always-on deployment path built and verified in CI as an escape hatch, never paid for unless it's actually needed.
The result
A public site with no placeholder content and no page that looks like a disconnected template — running on infrastructure that costs a few dollars a month at this stage of traffic, on a codebase built to grow into the rest of the platform without starting over.
